    Client Executive

    Client Executive Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and close opportunities with some of the most innovative and established tech companies out there.
    • Systematically build and nurture a pipeline of new placements for our developers.
    • Explore new ways of packaging our offerings to better address client needs
    • Engage tech executives at leading companies who are seeking engineering talent.
    • Communicate and coordinate with clients stakeholders, developers and Andela leadership.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of activity through our CRM.

    Requirements for the Client Executive Job

    • 3-7 years of sales experience and a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Excellent communication skills: you will need to engage through text, so strong writing skills are essential.
    • Established relationships at leading African companies.
    • Being a good person; we have a “no jerk” policy at Andela.
    • Computer Science or Engineering background is a plus
    • Technology professional services experience is a plus

    Senior iOS Developer

    Key Responsibilities

    The specific responsibilities of the Senior iOS Developer position include:

    • Interfacing with your client to understand their business, goals and visions for products being supported by an Andela Team
    • Performing high quality work that not only meets the need of the client, but surpasses it.
    • If you are managing a team:
      • Ensuring that our developers are able to understand the business context and value of their tasks, as well as how it impacts users.
      • Prioritizing the work that your team is responsible for to ensure that you’re always working on the highest value work that helps your clients meet their objectives.
      • Working with our engineers to decompose high level stories into smaller, specific tasks and provide high level design support to help them understand how to solve specific coding challenges.
      • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure that the work delivered is in accordance with the technical standards of your client.

      • Regularly reporting the status of your team both to your client as well as senior members of Andela’s Success Department

    Qualifications & Characteristics

    Career Planning Associate

    As the Andela Career Planning Associate, you will be responsible for taking Fellow’s individual educational history, personality, interests and skills into account and support the Fellows by suggesting Careers based on their backgrounds and abilities.

    Job Description

    • Assess Fellows' personal characteristics, skills and interests via one-on-one interviews and/or group sessions;
    • Provide appropriate help, advice and recommendations based on interviews/test results;
    • Be a subject matter expert on existing and emerging technology-related career paths;
    • Support Fellows with the management of their own careers by developing career plans that cover their time at Andela as well as what they want to do when they graduate from the Fellowship
    • Check in with the Fellows at least quarterly to ensure that they are making progress on their career plans or updating it to reflect their new interests or options made available
    • Compile data from all the Fellow career plans to ensure that Andela is offering the necessary training to support the most desired career options.
    • Coordinate a variety of events and programs (e.g. Fellow assessments, presentations, career fairs, etc.)
    • Evaluates Success initiatives for the purpose of modifying and/or enhancing program structure.
    • Maintain liaisons with employers, community leaders and organizations for the purpose of building resources and expanding program opportunities for eligible Fellows.
    • Act as lead advisor to the Fellows by providing career, academic and personal guidance.  
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Assigning work to ensure that our engineers are always working on high priority tasks that will bring the most value to their team.  
    • Ensuring that our engineers are able to understand the business context and value of their tasks, as well as how it impacts users.
    • Working with our engineers to decompose high level stories into smaller, specific tasks and provide high level design support to help them understand how to solve specific coding challenges.
    • Perform code reviews to ensure that the work being submitted to the client follows the client's coding standards as well as meets the letter and spirit of the assigned task
    • Assist our engineers in effectively communicating with their teams
