  • Oshwal College is a modern post-secondary institution founded to educate individuals in professional courses in accounting, business administration and information technology. The College selects the curricula and programs with utmost care to reflect the diversity of graduates required in the world of work. Assuch it has trained personnel in different fields that form the backbone of Kenya's economy. Oshwal College was established in January 1992. It is the elder institution of the many nursery, primary and secondary school institutions run and owned by the Oshwal Education and Relief Board (OERB) “ a charitable organization in Kenya. Established first at Oshwal High School premises, growth in student numbers and introduction of more courses created the demand for expansion thereby moving to Westlands Road in 1994. In spite of the appropriate facility, OERB was not satisfied because its vision had been to give Oshwal College its own campus. After a decade of planning, its efforts came to fruition on September 27 2004 when we moved to our new location on 2nd Parklands Avenue. Our results and popularity bear testimony to the uncompromising quality of our institution. There is a refined academic and professional atmosphere, which prevails at the campus. To date, over 5690 students have graduated in various courses. The total student strength averages 500 each semester, consisting of 75% Kenyans with the rest coming from other parts of Africa and beyond. These include Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Congo, Togo, Nigeria, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Britain and India. Our academic programs are meant to open a future for secondary school leavers and those already employed. These courses are offered by local and international professional organizations. Students register, subscribe and pay for examinations to these professional bodies with the College's necessary assistance. In addition to the intensive teaching, the College conducts internal examinations and intensive revision courses during the semester so as to equip students well for final exams. The programs currently offered in three departments; Accounting and Finance, Business Management and Information Technology.

    Geography Teacher

    Experience and Competence:

    • At least 5 years' demonstrable Geography teaching experience at A levels, preferably in a British Curriculum school.
    • Passionate about Geography as a subject, 21st Century teaching and learning skills and I.T. savvy.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.
    • Innovative and creative individual.
    • Ability to organize and communicate effectively and to work independently with minimum supervision.
    • Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular activities.

    Assistant Fleet Manager

    The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Fleet Budget Management and Control

    • Preparation and consolidation of the fleet budget within stipulated timelines and repair and maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure comparison of expenditure on fleet related expenses with the budget.
    • Facilitate purchase of fleet consumables.
    • Fuel card management.
    • Prepare monthly fuel consumption report, repair and maintenance report.
    • Allocate duties to drivers.
    • Ensure all vehicles have required licenses.

    Driver Management

    • Ensure proper and evidenced scheduling and execution of vehicle checks by all drivers.
    • Ensure proper adherence to expected health and safety and child protection guidelines for all users of school transport.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid PSV Kenyan driving license with at least 7 years' experience in driving vehicle classes BCE.
    • Certified knowledge of auto mechanics from a recognized institution.
    • ICDL certified.
    • Previous experience in fleet management is an added advantage.
    • First Aid and Health and Safety training. 

    Experience and Competence

    • At least 5 years' progressive experience in a busy fleet environment.
    • Ability to work interdependently with minimal supervision.
    • Knowledge of budget control.
    • Knowledge of computerized report preparation and communication will be an added advantage.
