    Assistant Fleet Manager

    Reference Number:  OAN/SS/17/1

    Category: Administrative

    The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Fleet Budget Management and Control

    • Preparation and consolidation of the fleet budget within stipulated timelines and repair and maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure comparison of expenditure on fleet related expenses with the budget.
    • Facilitate purchase of fleet consumables.
    • Fuel card management.
    • Prepare monthly fuel consumption report, repair and maintenance report.
    • Allocate duties to drivers.
    • Ensure all vehicles have required licenses.

    Driver Management

    • Ensure proper and evidenced scheduling and execution of vehicle checks by all drivers.
    • Ensure proper adherence to expected health and safety and child protection guidelines for all users of school transport.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid PSV Kenyan driving license with at least 7 years' experience in driving vehicle classes BCE.
    • Certified knowledge of auto mechanics from a recognized institution.
    • ICDL certified.
    • Previous experience in fleet management is an added advantage.
    • First Aid and Health and Safety training. 

    Experience and Competence

    • At least 5 years' progressive experience in a busy fleet environment.
    • Ability to work interdependently with minimal supervision.
    • Knowledge of budget control.
    • Knowledge of computerized report preparation and communication will be an added advantage.
