    BRICS Senior Project Implementation Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ongoing and actively technical oversight of all BRICS supported projects, to identify any challenges, delays, opportunities for collaboration and/or technical support, as well as to ensure the timely and qualitative delivery of contract deliverables
    • Recruitment, training and management of all BRICS field monitors engaged on the day-to-day support and oversight of BRICS implementation activities and environmental scanning
    • Active contribution to, leadership and mentoring role in new project designs, including the development of project theories of change, evidence-gathering plans, scopes of work and contract deliverables
    • Maintaining BRICS team members abreast of technical project developments, verbally and through brief communication briefs and project highlights
    • Generation of concise, analytical and reader friendly learning outputs
    • Promotion of a culture of open and collaborative relations among all BRICS partners, and close-collaboration with IU Senior Network Learning Manager

    Requirements

    • Substantial experience with grants management and technical oversight
    • Experience with grant design and development
    • Experience with results monitoring and compliance
    • Experience with community-based programming
    • Very strong English writing skills, including experience writing success stories
    • Fluent Swahili speaker
    • University degree
    • Kenyan citizenship

    Strongly Desirable

    • Fluent Somali speaker
    • Substantial experience with Milestone/deliverable based grants
    • Experience with data-base management (especially OTI, TAMIS)
    • Team management and team-capacity building experience
    • Experience with evidence-based programming
    • Experience working in other East African countries (especially Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia)
    • Master’s degree in social sciences

    Desirable

    • Experience working in PVE/CVE
    • Experience with youth-focused projects
    • Experience working in Kenyan coastal and North Eastern regions and/or Somalia

    BRICS Senior Network Learning Manager

    You will have excellent communication and facilitation skills and be committed to creating an enabling environment for learning and experience sharing between different organisations and leaders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Acting as the BRICS Implementation Unit point person, working throughout in close collaboration with the Regional Research Unit Learning Manager
    • Actively contributing to the BRICS-wide learning strategy and its ongoing integration into the design of future projects
    • Building the capacity of BRICS partners to reflect and act in response to CVE-related evidence generated either through their own projects or others
    • Leading the design of BRICS partner learning events, in close-collaboration with the RRU Learning Manager
    • Actively promoting a culture of open and collaborative relations among BRICS partners
    • Generating concise, analytical and reader friendly learning outputs

    Requirements

    • Direct experience with CSO capacity-building specifically focused on learning (as opposed to institutional capacity building)
    • Extensive experience in CSO training and design experience specifically focused on learning (not M&E)
    • Exceptional English writing skills (writing samples will be required and possibly writing tests)
    • Experience generating concise learning outputs (such as success stories)
    • Fluent Swahili speaker
    • University degree
    • Kenyan citizenship

    Strongly Desirable

    • Current Learning Manager with demonstrated experience in all areas of responsibility described above
    • Experience working in other East African countries with civil society and/or government partners (especially Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia)
    • Experience with evidence-based programming
    • Master’s degree in social sciences

    Desirable

    • Experience working in PVE/CVE
    • Experience with youth-focused projects
    • Experience with proposal development
    • Experience with Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Somali speaker
