    KSLH comprise of three units being:- Mombasa Beach Hotel, Voi safari Lodge and Ngullia safari Lodge.

    Sales and Marketing Executives - 2 positions


    Scope and main purpose of the Job

    • To promote sales of KSLH units, facilities and service directly using various marketing techniques
    • To achieve set sales targets in accordance with the sales & marketing plans.
    • To assist SMM by acting as “first contract” with all outside business contacts and by making outside sales calls or visits,  a major  part  of this role
    • To promote the image and services of the company so that maximum growth occurs through gaining new clients and contacts.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Attain the sales targets in the allocated segments as required.
    • Develop  new business out of the existing segments
    • Maintain and develop a computerized clientele and prospective clients’ database
    • Plan and carry out direct marketing activities to assigned market segment (s) in order to achieve or surpass budgeted sales targets.
    • Welcome enquiries from and identify prospective new ‘clients’ exact needs, liaise closely with operational management  staff  on all details for a prospective new  client(contract) and gain their agreement on all details.
    • Follow up leads by visiting prospective clients regularly to maintain their interest. Maintain constant communication with the client once the sale is closed or account (contact) is opened and show an ongoing interest in the performance of the account.
    • Entertain prospective clients in accordance with set policy, where possible combining this visits to existing satisfied customers.
    • Develop ideas and create offers for outside marketing (OM) and marketing  to major accounts appropriate to the market  segments(s) targeted


    • KCSE C+ or equivalent, Diploma or degree in marketing OR Hotel/Hospitality Management from  a recognized institution   division  two (2) or KCSE Grade C+
    • Evidence of previous hotel related experience of at least 1 year in sales & marketing  department  in a busy 3& 4 star  hotel, experience in revenue budgeting and product costing and pricing and pricing advantageous.
    • Must have done direct personal selling for at least one year and shown a strong sales record.
    • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary languages(s) used in the work place and by guest who frequently visit and stay at KSLH business units.
    • Advanced computer skills (words processing, spreadsheets, database, PPT) Computerized FO reservations and accounting system. Background on automated sales office is helpful and added advantage
    • Service oriented, track record of successful customer service, organizing and self- presentation skills, unquestionable integrity, self driven , team player who enjoys working with people.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipments, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools and ensure soundness of electrical systems.
    • Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the fault.
    • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
    • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
    • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
    • Test electrical continuity, earth rods systems and electrical wiring, equipments, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and test lamps and ensure compatibility and safety.
    • Install ground leads and terminates power cables to equipment and electric appliances.
    • Repair or replace wiring, equipments, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
    • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipments, and fixtures.
    • Place conduits (pipes, tubing and ducting) at designated partitions.
    • Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
    • Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to house electrical switches or outlets.
    • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
    • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
    • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating emergency lighting such generators.

    Job Specifications

    • Minimum ‘O’ level
    • Professional Qualification: Certificate in Electrical Wiring
    • Technology/electrical wiring from a recognized post high school training institution.
    • Computer literate

    Length of experience: minimum 2 years.

    Additional skills required: (Multi task), Good communication skills-written & spoken. Ability to work under minimum supervision, demonstrate meticulous attention to details.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To install, repair, and maintains all plumbing systems, monitor water supply and storage.
    • Inspects, joints, valve, pumps, heaters, sinks to locate malfunction and other plumbing system.
    • Take daily water meter reading
    • Daily checking of water inflow from municipality.
    • Daily checking and recording the ground and roof water storage tank levels
    • Repair and maintain rooms, public area, kitchen, restaurants, bars plumbing work and main supply line from the meter to the ground tank and from ground tank to roof tanks.
    • Maintain and repair sewerage system up to soak pits
    • Install new plumbing layout and fitting
    • Performs any other relevant duties and special assignment /projects as may be directed by the Supervisor

    Job Specifications

    • Minimum ‘O’ level
    • Professional Qualification; Certificate in plumbing
    • Length of experience: 2 years.
    • Computer literate

    Additional skills required:

    • Good communication skills-written & spoken.
    • Ability to work under minimum Supervision,
    • Demonstrate meticulous attention to details.
