As the system administrator you will be responsible and accountable for maintaining, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks among the following tasks:

Roles

• Document all processes in reference manuals for the purpose of training and guidance
• Take user support requests and take measures to fulfil requests
• Assist in hardware and software inventory management
• Handle periodic maintenance of hardware and software
• Troubleshoot equipment such as printers and scanners and other peripherals
• Participate in the development of software applications
• Handle researching options and research computer bugs and their solutions
• Take telephone calls from users and attempt to assist them with their information technology questions and problems
• Handle IT related documentation and make sure that all IT supplies are available
• Assist in gathering user requirements and developing appropriate reports for IT professionals
• Provide users with ongoing assistance in their information technology problems
• Coordinate vendors for acquisition of equipment and software
• Provide support in setting up end user training activities
• Handle infrastructure administration activities such as server and storage capacity handling and directory services management
• Develop incident response procedures and assist with business intelligence development activities
• Developing web applications using java and python is a plus but not required.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field
• Experience with mobile solutions integrations
• Experienced in Linux/Unix administration
• Experienced in database administration PostgreSQL/MySQL
• Experienced in Bash Scripting
• 2 years’ experience in the same capacity

As a Lead Software Developer, you will design, implement, maintain, audit and improve software systems, perform system administration or manage networks, often as advised by management You shall also guide and oversee the lean IT projects team.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible in:

• Implement server and network infrastructure for the organization
• Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components
• Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability
• Participate in full Software Development Cycle
• Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs
• Provide guidelines for implementing secure systems to customers or installation teams
• Monitor system operation to detect potential problems
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts
• Testing the architecture in controlled, real situations before going live
• Preparation of training manuals for other users
• Reviewing current systems and maintaining new systems once they are up and running.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Keep abreast with the latest technologies
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field
• Proficiency in writing Java and Python-based web applications.
• Experience using Django
• Experience using Primefaces
• Experience with mobile solutions integrations
• Strong understanding of networking and network security
• Solid understanding of VPNs and cloud technologies
• Proficiency in shell scripting will be an added advantage
• Familiarity with Linux platforms is a MUST
• Experience in agile software development methodology. Jira experience is a plus.
• 3 years’ experience in the same capacity.
