    Key Responsibilities for the role:

    Copywriters deliver the words and verbal content that accompanies visual elements to communication materials. They also work in close partnership with graphic designers & brand managers to create authentic, engaging and compelling messaging. The candidate will be expected to:

    • Create and develop impactful consumer facing communication materials and messages for both non-digital and digital channels. This includes video & audio scriptwriting and production as well as print, website and social media content creation and management.

    • Assist the Social Media Manager in researching and generating content for social media-worthy stories and work with internal teams (sales, design and marketing) to increase visibility around Greenlight Planet's work online on all social media platforms. 
    • Work with multiple projects and teams, as well as lend support to internal team presentations and new advertising pitches for local and international markets.
    • Assist in the execution of global social media strategy with a view to continuously improving the process of content generation and market interaction. Identify Key Messages, engage & understand Target Audience, communicate this powerfully and build compelling Calls to Action.
    • Produce and curate persuasive and accurate content for social media (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube & Vimeo), Websites, Blogs and eBooks.
    • Execute communication strategies for product launches and campaigns, proof-read and create copy for consumer facing materials: leaflets, posters, activation campaigns as well as product packaging and work with global marketing team to contextualize content for local markets.  

    The ideal candidate has:

    • Extremely strong command of written English & Kiswahili with a clearly creative hand an ability to alternate between clean, professional writing and innovative, vibrant marketing-oriented communication.  
    • 2 years’ experience in social media content creation and curation for corporates and non-corporates.

    Reporting to: Country Business Leader, EasyBuy Direct

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    • Sales Management
      • Achieve Easy Buy Direct &Retail Sales revenue targets.

    Customer Loyalty Executive

    Reporting to: Regional Business Manager

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    • Intervene on the field when the collection score is
      • Visit 5 concerned EOs with collection score
      • Agree upon a plan with Head of Sales every Friday evening (for the next week Monday to Friday), as well as provide the detailed update on observations found.  
    • Intervene through field staff on EOs whose Collection Scores are greater than 50 (in previous method, V2 Disable rate is between 30% to 49%) 
      • Once a week call all the ASMs affected and record feedback on a Google sheet with related details about the situation and the ASM’s plan to get it sorted.  Following each call expect to see login or Kazi calls being made by the ASM. 80% of calls should result into at least 5 successful Kazi calls made by the ASM.
    • Driving Kazi app awareness, effectiveness and understanding in the field
      • Become the main point of contact for Kazi related requests and issues among the field staff. 90% of issues related to Kazi should be managed and followed up directly by the role. Keep track on a Google sheet of all the issues raised by the field staff and EOs as well as post requests for new improvements to be made on the pipeline kept by the developer.
    • To make sure repossessions become standard practice in the field with spontaneous repossession become the norm and assisted repossessions are reduced to the most difficult cases. All repossession activity should be driven by Kazi app 
      • Gradually increase the ratio of spontaneous / assisted repossessions to 90% by the end of the year 2017. Maintain the ratio above 90%
      • 80% of due repossessions to be made or attempted within 2 weeks from the due date (60) days

    Initiate Hiring and Manage the team of Collection Associate (Typically 1 per region) who would perform or help in the above mentioned tasks at an area level.

    • Produce and curate persuasive and accurate content for partner facing communication such as - trainings, local and international press/PR, product launches, workshops & seminars.
    • Lead and Manage multiple projects and teams in both Africa and Asian markets, lead internal team presentations and new advertising pitches for local and international markets.
    • Research, collate and create and disseminate case studies about Greenlight Planet's global distribution methods, agent and customer profiles for use in B2B pitch materials, channel market training and internal knowledge sharing purposes.  
    • Work with the Creative Team Lead, Greenlight's Head of Corporate Affairs and key Executive leadership to update and maintain corporate vision, voice and values. 
    • Work closely with the Social Media Manager on global and regional social media strategy and assist in the process of content generation and market interaction. 
    • Occasionally apply for relevant global and regional awards and grants.

    The role may involve travel of about four days every month.

    Key responsibilities for the role:

    The Manager – Customer Service & Quality : Products Africa, will manage resources and daily operation of the function to ensure efficient execution of relevant reverse logistics supply chain processes and to strive for functional excellence of all activities by:

    • Leading the expansion of service centre footprint across Africa
    • Creating processes to service customers with a faulty light with world class service levels
    • Leading the demand and supply planning activities
    • Creating partner facing reverse logistics models for Sun King partners

    The ideal Manager – Customer Service & Quality : Products Africa has:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or MBA qualification in Operations from a Premier institution
    • Relevant experience setting up after sales and quality control infrastructure  including service and refurbishment centersin rural areas, planning for spare parts and repair and replacement policies to design world class customer service processes.
    • 3-5 years in consumer durables after sales service. (experience with companies working in rural markets would be preferred).
    • Experience in handling cross-regional teams/stakeholders would be a big positive.
    • Experience in handling large Microsoft Excel files is a must.
    • Knowledge and hands-on experience designing and implementing unique reverse logistics processes and infrastructures.
    • Knowledge of handling imports and clearance for spare parts.
    • Knowledge of working and managing large and distributed network of service centres and refurbishment centres.
    • Knowledge of pricing and receivable modules for customer servicing.
    • Ability to work with various stakeholders such as sales teams, marketing, Finance Operations, etc.

    The Strategic Accounts Business Development Manager, Africa will be responsible for acquiring new large scale strategic partners with emphasis on Telecom sector and strategic solar distributors across Africa. Further, the individual will lead the expansion of the overall business footprint for Greenlight Planet’s products sold under its flagship brand called Sun King across Africa. 

    Based on fast growing presence across the continent, we are looking for an experienced senior Business Development Leader who can build depth and enter new markets across the region with special focus on Pay-As-You-Go line of products.  Candidates for this position should have extensive experience with new business development, client management and channel building and/or marketing in emerging markets, preferably in the Telecom sector.  The ideal candidate has a strong record of consistently exceeding acquisition targets and a passion for being involved with big, game-changing enterprises.

    The Strategic Accounts Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating long-term strategic growth plans for key markets in Africa with emphasis on building presence across Telecom as well as large-scale master distributors across the region. 

    Key responsibilities for the role include developing distribution strategies that ensure deeper penetration of Greenlight Planet products as well as developing channels targeting relevant market segments. 

    The ideal candidate:

    • Has a university degree and at least 6-10 years of sales and business development experience in West Africa working with product distribution catering to mass market consumers (Experience in Telecom sector preferred)
    • Has a strong record of acquiring new, strategic accounts and experience growing new business lines.
