    Receptionist

    The Receptionist will be responsible to the Front Office Supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    • Receiving visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone;
    • Answering and forwarding incoming telephone calls;
    • Directing visitors to various areas in the Institute;
    • Checking in and checking out guests;
    • Handling guests inquiries and complaints;
    • Making reservations; and
    • Marketing of the hotel facilities.

    Qualifications

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (minus) with at least C (plain) in English/Kiswahili language;
    • Diploma in Public Relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
    • Proficient in computer use and application; and
    • Initiative, team player and highly motivated
    • Relevant working experience.

    Accounts Clerks

    The Accounts Clerk will be responsible to the Deputy Director, Finance and Accounts.

    Responsibilities

    • Compiling accounting records
    • Preparing payment vouchers
    • Computation of financial or accounting records based on routine or special sources of information
    • Compiling data and drafting letters.

    Qualifications

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-(minus)
    • CPA Part I
    • Proficient in computer use and application
    • Initiative, be a team player and highly motivated
    • Relevant working experience.

    Security Warden

    The Security Warden will report to the Senior Security Officer.

    Responsibilities

    • Screen all persons and vehicles accessing and exiting the Institute and ensure a safe working environment;
    • Keep and maintain records of crime and incidences;
    • Secure scenes of incidence;
    • Keep custody and disposal of lost and found items including exhibits;
    • Investigate security threatening incidents and submit report to management; and
    • Liaise with other security agencies on maintenance of law and order.

    Procurement Clerks

    The Procurement Clerk will be responsible to the Assistant Director Procurement.

    Responsibilities

    • Compiling procurement records
    • Sorting out letters and filing them
    • Dispatching letters and maintaining an efficient filing system
    • Compiling data and drafting letters.

    Qualifications

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C-(minus);
    • Diploma in Procurement and logistics or equivalent from a recognized Institution;
    • Proficient in computer use and application and
    • Initiative, be a team player and highly motivated
    • Relevant working experience.

    Sales Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Implementing and promoting KICD bookshop policy
    • Implementing various distribution strategies for print and electronic curriculum support materials
    • Undertaking restocks of curriculum support materials
    • Managing stock at the bookshop and outlets; and promoting KICD bookshop policy.

    Requirements for appointment

    • A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Grade C-
    • Diploma in either of the following: Accountancy, Banking, Finance or CPA II

    OR

    • Diploma in either of the following: Sales and Marketing, Records management, Procurement Management/Information Management or its equivalent.
    • Relevant working experience.
