    Business Development Officer

    Implement the corporate sales strategy within the assigned markets in line with the overall business strategy in order to achieve the company sales target, growth and profitability.

    Key Deliverables for this Position

    • Achieve corporate  Sales targets & customer base growth
    • Achieve cash and stockholding management targets
    • Achieve Customer service delivery targets
    • Achieve Route Adherence and Cost targets

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly sales targets split per target prospective clients for each product for monitoring and review with line manager.
    • Ensure the corporate sales targets are achieved as per the budget numbers and forecast aligned with the overall company budget and forecast numbers.
    • Plan and execute structured customer visits to ensure pitching for new business as per the projected pipeline sales with clear objectives and progress reports.
    • To facilitate onboarding of new clients and provide continuous support throughout the process in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Customer Relationship Management by managing and developing alliances with the existing customer base within the assigned markets to enhance the achievement of sales and profitability objectives.
    • Monitoring and reporting of market trends and conditions, competitor activities, products, prices and developments. Prepare and provide relevant reports and information based on the two to guide management decision making.
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely weekly / monthly / quarterly sales reports to the manager to facilitate a comprehensive sales performance review and proper planning for the various segments.
    • Participate and represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and promotions in order to attract new customers, promote our brand and enhance customers’ awareness of the company’s product range.
    • Implement a collection plan geared towards ensuring collection targets are achieved and cash flow levels are maximized. Ensure the territory AR is at zero (100% collection)
    • Conduct periodic product training for both existing and potential customers to enhance both our brand awareness and product knowledge.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Sales and Marketing or any relevant field
    • Advanced Diploma in sales and marketing or a professional certification in sales and marketing.
    • Membership in a professional body.
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role in manufacturing/FMCG
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze economic environments and business opportunities in a systematic and detailed manner
    • Knowledge of changing market forces and corporate sales.
    • Commercial awareness.

    Management Accountant

    Reporting to the Manager – Finance and Procurement, the position will be responsible for analyzing and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, managing the annual audit process, coordinating the annual budgeting and planning process as well as managing the vat, tax and required statutory returns, submissions and payments. The position will liaise closely with the procurement and production departments to monitor & prepare the relevant management and Cost accounting reports.

    Responsibilities

    Financial and Accounting Operations:

    • Financial Planning
    • Financial analysis
    • Preparations of timely and accurate monthly/quarterly management reports
    • Prepare Balance Sheet analysis, review P&L and perform necessary adjustments
    • Perform fixed asset processing to enable reporting and Capital expenditure management
    • Handling statutory deductions and tax payments while observing the stipulated deadline dates of submission, this includes the following taxes, Income tax, VAT, PAYE, Withholding tax, NHIF, NSSF NITA levies etc.
    • Implementation of financial risk management policies of the company, which include insurance of assets and open risks, tax risk management and forex risks.
    • Ensure also that the company working capital is safeguarded by maintaining adequate cash flow.
    • Coordinate both external and internal audits and ensure effective implementation of audit recommendations, making of final accounts.
    • Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.

    Cost Accounting

    • Development of pricing models by analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
    • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
    • Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
    • Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
    • Responsible to check and reconcile manufacturing variances and yields analysis and interpretation of cost variances on a monthly basis
    • Prepare detailed cost reports for manufacturing, identifying key overspends and variances and identifying opportunities of improvements
    • Review and recalculate raw material, finished goods and other base costs and determine impact to business by applying changes

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option), Business Management (Accounting/Finance Option), Economics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
    • Qualified  Accountant  (CPA (K), ACCA , or equivalent) are a mandatory requirement
    • Be registered with a professional body such as CPA, ACCA.
    • At least 5 years of management accounting with exposure to cost accounting in a busy Manufacturing/FMCG environment.
    • In depth understanding of manufacturing/FMCG processes
    • Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capability as reflected in work performance and results
    • Strong financial and accounting knowledge (IFRS)
    • Strong consolidation knowledge and experience
    • Statutory understanding (companies act and Tax)
    • Financial analysis experience
    • Good knowledge of any accounting software e.g. profix and SAP R3.
