    Senior Resource Mobilization & Partnership Officer

    Job Details

    • Developing and updating of projections of financing requirements to achieve national response outcomes – based on national strategy and attendant programmes and outputs to achieve planned outcomes;
    • Conducting resource mobilization through development of funding proposals targeted at various prospective development partners coupled with building Donor Confidence in MSEA;
    • Conducting basic research on Development Partners opinions and practices; Participating in the implementation of advocacy and public relations strategies aimed at raising funds,
    • Generating goodwill and advancing the mission of MSEA;
    • Preparing regular progress reports for the Authority on debt-initiatives;
    • Assisting in identifying and managing contributions by development partners, in form of loans and grants;
    • Participate in coordinating international proposal and programme development.
    • Leading the stakeholder coordination team on budgeting,
    • Supporting forums for coordinating private sector response;
    • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the CEO

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications and qualities:

    • Be in possession of Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Mathematics and Statistics; Commerce (Finance or Accounting option), Business     Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution
    • Be in possession of a professional qualification
    • Proficiency in computer application skills.
    • Served in a similar position in a reputable organization for at least three (3) years
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the mission, vision, and strategies of MSEA and the ability to clearly interpret and apply the role of Micro and Small Enterprise in Kenya’s social economic development and particularly in line with vision 2030 and the Big four agenda.

    In addition, all prospective candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of leadership and integrity as set out in Chapter six (6) of the constitution of Kenya and attach the following documents to their applications:-

    • Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission clearance Certificate (EACC)
    • Kenya Revenue Authority Tax compliance Certificate (KRA)

    Enterprise Development Officer

    Job Description

    • Collecting data related to micro enterprises promotion;
    • Mobilising MSE operators and assisting in recruiting exhibitors and trainees;
    • Recruiting trainers; assisting in land acquisition;
    • Implementing MSE programmes.
    • Facilitating technology transfer amongst MSE operators.
    • Conducting business counselling and trainings;
    • Providing mentorship for aspiring youth entrepreneurs;
    • Conducting research on MSEs;
    • Collecting and analysing data on MSE issues;
    • Compiling training and exhibition reports;
    • Conducting MSE sector needs assessment; and
    • Undertaking micro-financing, marketing, infrastructure, and start up programmes and support.
    • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the CEO

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Commerce, Business Administration, Enterprise Development, Entrepreneurship, Business Management or Information Technology from a recognized institution; and
    • Proficiency in computer application skills.

    Senior Administrative Officer

     

    Job Details

    • Provision of Board Welfare issues and be the Liaison Officer to the Board.
    • Coordination of activities and planning the diary in the office of the CEO
    • Provision of transport services or general office services.
    • In transport services, liaising with various departments for vehicle re-allocation Licenses, insurances, inspection, accidents follow-up of vehicles.
    • General Office Services, assist in identification of office space, equipment,furniture, administration of cleaning personnel and security wardens,
    • Settling of bills and overseeing office maintenance and cleanliness.
    • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the CEO

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in either Human Resource Management/Development, Business Administration, Public Administration or in any other equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer application skills;
    • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the mission, vision, and strategies of MSEA and the ability to clearly interpret and apply the role of Micro and Small Enterprise in Kenya’s social economic development and particularly in line with vision 2030 and the Big four agenda

    Driver II

    Job Details

    • Driving; carrying out minor mechanical repairs;
    • Identifying and reporting faulty operations of the vehicle;
    •  Security of the vehicle on and off the road;
    • Safety of passengers and/or goods therein; and
    • Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicles assigned to him/her.

    Qualifications

    • Served in the grade of Driver for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the Officers required to drive;
    • Certificate in Defensive driving from Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade II;
    • First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution; and
    • Demonstrated professional competence in driving, identification and repair of minor faults
