JOB SUMMARY

Langata Hospital Limited is seeking a Dental Assistant who will be responsible for patient health by completing the Dental process. As a Dental Assistant, she/he should be able to Fabricate, alter, and repair dental devices such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, and appliances for straightening teeth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test appliances for conformation to specifications and accuracy of occlusion, using articulators and micrometers.
• Place tooth models on apparatus that mimics bite and movement of patient’s jaw to evaluate functionality of model.
• Prepare metal surfaces for bonding with porcelain to create artificial teeth, using small hand tools
• Create a model of patient’s mouth by pouring plaster into a dental impression and allowing plaster to set
• Building and shape wax teeth, using small hand instruments and information from observations or dentists’ specifications.

Her/his responsibilities

• Apply porcelain paste or wax over prosthesis frameworks or setup, using brushes and spatulas.
• Remove excess metal or porcelain, and polish surface of prostheses or framework.
• Fill chipped or low spots in surface of devices, using acrylic risen
• Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays for use.
• Rebuild or replace linings, wire sections, and missing teeth in order to repair dentures.
• Shape and solder wire and metal frames.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• Must have trained as a Dental Assistant in a recognized institution
• At least one year experience in Dental clinic

JOB SUMMARY

Langata Hospital Limited is seeking to hire a Nutritionist who will be responsible for patient health by completing the Nutrition process. The candidate should be able to counsel patients on nutrition issues and health eating habit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop meal plans taking clients preferences into account.
• Manage specific nutritious diseases.
• Evaluate the health of their clients based on findings, advice clients on which food to eat and those to avoid.
• Evaluate the effect of meal plans and change plans as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Access patient’s health needs and diet.
• Promote better nutrition by speaking to clients about diet.
• Data collection, recording and monthly report compilation.
• Counseling PMTCT mothers on proper feeding practices and carried out demonstrations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

• Must have a license from Kenya nutrition and dietetics (KNDI) .
• At least two year’s professional experience nutrition Program monitoring and evaluation in county.
• HIV/ART specialized nutrition care.
