    Accounts Receivable Officer

    Job Description

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Being the Accounts Receivable officer, you are Directly Responsible for the Accounts Receivables duties via:

    • Financial accounts, budgeting and forecasting
    • Produce monthly financial accounts in the approved format;
    • Provide budget holders with financial information which meets their needs;
    • Facilitate the preparation of the annual budget and update forecasts as necessary. 

    Financial transactions

    • Ensure the efficient processing of all financial transactions, including invoicing and collection of moneys due;
    • Ensure that all money received in and paid out is correctly allocated;
    • Ensure the debtor’s ledger is maintained, with accurate coding, and that customers are paid in a timely manner.
    • Ensure the bank and other accounts receivables accounts are reconciled monthly.
    • Prompt follow up of withholding tax certificates from our customers and posting them into the system.
    • To perform customer credit worthiness.
    • Monitor credit limits and communicate credit concerns.
    • Ensures timely delivery of accurate invoices.
    • Receive credit application requests, conduct financial analysis, evaluate risk and establishment of credit, submit request for approval.
    • Collection target per day is Kshs.4 - 5 Million.
    • Prompt follow up with sales team on matters of invoicing and follow up on debts
    • Overseeing all accounts receivables functions
    • Any other duty assigned by the Finance Manager 

    Cash flow

    1. Manage banking arrangements under the direction of the Finance Manager
    2. Maintain a daily cash flow schedule and produce daily cash flow reports; 

    Systems and IT

    1. Continue the development and implementation of financial systems;
    2. With the assistance of the IT department, maintain software used in financial and payroll administration. 

    Taxation

    1. Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns;
    2. Involve and instruct external tax consultants when necessary.
    3. Prepare audit schedules as required by the auditor 

    Inventory

    1. Maintaining proper reporting and financial controls; and
    2. Ensuring adherence to all practices and policies required to meet these objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Commerce / Finance option/Accounts option will be advantageous
    • Minimum 5 years’ General Accounting experience.
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) or its equivalent.

    Factory Retail Sales Assistant

    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    • Assist in the Planning, directing and coordination of the sales of products and solutions to existing and walk in customers.
    • Assist in the Analysis of sales statistics gathered to determine sales potential, inventory requirements and monitor the preference of clients.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Being the Factory retail sales assistant of products and services, you will directly be responsible for:
    • Assist in Management the contact strategy through social media and Telephone sales to develop leads for new and existing walk-in customers.
    • Generate sales as per the agreed set target per month
    • Assist in Management of all sales office operations, sales orders, execution & inventory update.
    • Liaise with the head of logistics on all customer deliveries
    • Assist in Management of Factory Sales targets, customer revenue, tracking sales results and profitability of all channels and customer retention.
    • Work closely with the office sales team to maximize cross selling opportunities at every customer touch point throughout the customer journey and to integrate new business sales.
    • Work with the operations Manager to ensure that there is a defined process for the office Sales teams to be well briefed on issues with customers.
    • To set and manage targets across all customer relationship activity.
    • Upselling:- Proactively inducing existing customers to purchase high quality products in an attempt to make more profitable sales.
    • Assist in Providing daily, weekly and monthly reports
    • Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Educated up to Diploma / Degree level education in Sales and Marketing & computer literate 
    • 3 -5 years’ experience in Building and construction materials or similar
    • 1 years’ work experience in a similar position.
