Responsibilities

• Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. ads, blog posts, websites, social media pages and newsletters).
• Conducting thorough research and interviews.
• Working with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns.
• Editing and proofreading copy.
• Using SEO principles to maximize the copy’s reach.
• Sourcing images and other content.
• Liaising with clients - from set-up to completion, either by phone, email or face-to-face.
• Researching client's industry and audience.
• identifying fresh and interesting angles for articles
• Inputting content into the clients’ content management software (CMS).
• Assisting with business pitches to win new clients or projects.
• Researching and understanding clients’ needs and target audiences, through online searches, review of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
• Presenting copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team, and to client representative, and participating in client pitches.
• Revising copy based on internal and client feedback/direction.
• Producing error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines.

Requirements

• At least two years of proven work experience as a copywriter or related role.
• Highly creative and imaginative.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Social media writing skills, including the use of hashtags, emojis, and acronyms.
• Solid understanding of SEO concepts.
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc.
• At least a diploma in marketing, English, journalism or related field.
