    Program Manager

    Reporting to the Board of Directors, the incumbent will provide leadership to NCDAK growing membership and programs portfolio.

    Job Summary.

    • The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership to the NCDAK Secretariat and growing NCDAK’s institutional funding portfolio.
    • He/she will work closely with the NCDAK staff and Board to initiate new donor engagements and sustain relationships with current donors.
    • He/she will advise and provide programmatic support on delivery of on-going and new programs/projects while ensuring compliance with donors’ and NCDAK’s regulations.
    • In consultation with NCDAK’s management, the post holder will be expected to contribute to amplifying NCD advocacy and enhancing NCDAK’s brand visibility.

    Qualifications Skills and Competencies

    • Master’s degree in social or health sciences or a Bachelor’s degree with advanced diploma in Project Management and requisite experience in senior program management.
    • Seven years’ experience working experience preferably in a health NGO or managing donor funded programs, 3 of which should be in mid or senior level.
    • Proven track record in fundraising and resource mobilization
    • Knowledge and skills in program management including monitoring and evaluation
    • Competency in report and grant writing
    • Excellent communication skills

    Accountant

    Reporting to the Program Manager, the the Accountant will lead the NCDAK's accounting team and provide general overall accounting support to NCDAK.

    He/she will oversee all aspects of financial management of NCDAK funded grants.

    She/he will be responsible for financial reporting, budget analysis, monitoring of expenditures and enforcement of statutory regulation requirements.

    Qualifications, Skills and Competencies.

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an accounting option and CPA 3.
    • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in progressive accounting and grants administration
    • Proficiency with a variety of accounting software and MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Experience encompassing A/P, General Ledger, transaction analysis, budgeting, and account reconciliation
    • Knowledge and working experience of donor accounting, grant management and donor relations
    • Prior experience working with NGO accounting in a fast-paced finance department preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure; high attention to detail and the ability to execute multiple initiatives again time constraints.
    • Strong ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
    • Strong technical knowledge in Fund Accounting and ability to apply GAAP
    • Strong ability to understand the flow of transactions and use an integrated accounting system
    • Excellent attention to detail, specifically when working with numbers
    • Strong analytical skills, and excellent judgment in problem solving and decision making
