    Finanace Officer

    Reporting to Principal Finance Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring prudent management of financial resources and the reporting thereof within the existing legal and regulatory framework.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance reports for submission to management and the commission;
    • Computing corporate taxes and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements;
    • Collecting and reviewing various financial data for the preparation of financial statements and other reports for both internal and external use.
    • Preparing EPRA for its corporate-wide annual audit and monitoring implementation of the auditor’s recommendations.
    • Analyzing monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast, and reconciliation of various accounts, fixed asset administration
    • Reporting on EPRA’s assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets and updating the asset register

    Qualifications

    • At least four (4) years working experience;
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounts Commerce (Finance Option), Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
    • A Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounts Commerce (Finance Option), Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution; is an added advantage;
    • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) Or its equivalent;
    • Membership of professional body (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya ICPAK, ACCA) in good standing;
    • Certificate in supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Demonstrated results in work performance;
    • Proficiency in Computer Applications;
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

    Other requirements

    Applicants are required to provide a detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, names of at least three professional referees, education and professional certificates together with a copy of national identity card or passport.

    5. Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

    Internal Auditor

    Reporting to Manager, Internal Audit and Risk Assurance the successful candidate will be responsible for providing an independent assurance service to EPRA through the audit committee, focusing on reviewing the effectiveness of the governance, risk assurance and control processes that management has put in place and providing advice to management on governance risks and controls.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinating the internal audit risk identification, assessment and mitigation;
    • Reviewing all the Audit Working Papers (AWPs) to ensure that the audit evidence gathered supports the audit findings as documented;
    • Inspecting systems to determine their efficiency and protective value in the recording and management of resources;
    • Carrying out frequent system reviews to identify discrepancies of information and/or documentation for the purposes of reaching resolutions, ensuring accuracy of data and complying with established procedures;
    • Developing strategies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operating systems;
    • Monitoring the implementation of all audit recommendations and prepare a status report on quarterly basis;
    • Establishing and managing a risk register for internal audit department and update it frequently.

    Qualifications

    • At least eight of (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of supervision;
    • Have Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Business Management (Accounting Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
    • Have Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance or Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK); in good standing
    • Proficient in computer applications;
    • Demonstrated results in work performance
    • A certificate in management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks

    Communications Officer

    Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for branding and development and implementation of EPRA’s communication and branding strategy, policies and plans.

    Responsibilities

    • Developing, managing and overseeing implementation of Corporate Communication and Branding Strategy and policy;
    • Developing and managing information, education and communication materials;
    • Ensuring a positive corporate image and providing media liaison services;
    • Developing corporate social responsibility programs.
    • Mentoring and coaching staff

    Qualifications

    • At least eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in supervisory role;
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • A Master’s Degree in Communication, Journalism Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Professional qualification and membership in good standing;
    • Management course lasting not less four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer skills;
    • Demonstrated results in work performance; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
