    Industrial Attachment

    The Corporation wishes to announce industrial attachment opportunities to continuing Undergraduate/Diploma/Certificate level students in order to gain practical exposure and on the job experience in a workplace environment; to enable them apply knowledge related to their respective areas of study; learn new skills; develop professional networks and understand work place expectations. This programme is in line with Government’s Youth Empowerment Project to develop a pool of young talents for the Kenyan Labour Market.

    The industrial attachment opportunities are available in various Departments for a maximum (non renewable) period of three (3) months with effect from January, 2020 up to March, 2020. The industrial attachment requirements are as follows:

    • Duly completed KBC Industrial attachment application form (therefore kindly download our Application form (Attachment Application Form)& fill in the required information appropriately;
    • An introduction letter from learning institution;
    • Copy of National Identity Card;
    • Must be available full time for the duration of the program i.e. 3 months;
    • Must be a continuing Undergraduate/Diploma/Certificate student from a recognized learning institution;
    • Must be a Kenyan Citizen.

    Interested students who meet the above outlined requirements should forward their applications to the undersigned before 13th December, 2019. Only selected students will be notified and invited for industrial attachment.

    Internship - Technical Services Department

    Job Details

    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Light Current/ Telecommunication)/Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Telecommunication (Electrical & Electronic Engineering ), or its equivalent from a recognized Institution
    • Must be computer literate

    Other requirements:

    • Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 34 years
    • Have graduated from college / University not earlier than the year 2015
    • Must attach copies of certificates, academic transcripts, updated curriculum vitae, national identity card or passport, valid certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigations alongside the application letter.

    Upon successful selection and intake, the interns will be required to submit the following documents:-

    • Personal accident insurance cover for the entire period of internship
    • Medical insurance cover by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or any other reputable medical insurance firm
    • PIN certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority.
    • NSSF card
    • Two coloured passport photographs
    • Bank account details
    • Recommendation/reference letter from the Institution attended.

    Internship - Information, Communications & Technology Deparment (ICT)

    Job Details

    • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Business Information Technology or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution
    • Good knowledge of software/application development and programming

    Other requirements:

    • Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 34 years
    • Have graduated from college / University not earlier than the year 2015
    • Must attach copies of certificates, academic transcripts, updated curriculum vitae, national identity card or passport, valid certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigations alongside the application letter.
