Director Of Technical Services - JG 'R’ at Taita Taveta County Public Service Board

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities related to Technical Services in water and sanitation service provision;
• Supervision of activities relating to delivering Technical Water and Sanitation;
• Implement Government strategies in provision of water services;
• Ensure timely delivery of Government programs;
• Responsible for design of new water projects and maintenance of existing systems including pipelines ,boreholes, pump houses, water treatment plants etc;
• To ensure all systems operate efficiently;
• Responsible for design of urban sewer systems and basic improved rural sanitation systems;
• Develop mechanisms for Flood Management and Control;
• Design and development of small and medium rain water storage systems;
• Design and implementation of modern Irrigation Systems;
• Develop County Water Master Plan;
• Advise County Government on all Technical matters;

Qualifications For Technical Services Job

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering course with modules in Fluid Mechanics;
• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage,
• Have served for a minimum period of ten (10) years in the Public Service in the relevant field, three (3) years of which should have been at the level of JG ‘Q’ or equivalent and in the relevant position.
• Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
