    Medical Delegate

    Purpose Of The Job

    To provide scientific information to Health Care Professionals on Nestle Infant Nutrition products in the assigned territory and develop relationships/ partnerships with medical/paramedical contacts and institutions through effective scientific communication.
    Key Responsibilities will be to;

    • Deliver agreed KPIs set by Field Management
    • Business Development:
      • Being reliable source of scientific information for IN products;
      • Seek and build strategic relations with Key Contacts & KOLs who can facilitate business development;
      • Identify Health Care Professionals needs in given territory and ensure optimum service levels;
      • Recommend scientific activities for potential contacts.
    • Undertake issues management and problem solving:
      • Identification of issues preventing performance in the territory and provide solutions;
      • Monitoring of progress made and the ability to change strategies to achieve objectives;
      • Assisting with the implementation of the WHO Management System;
    • Territory Management;
      • Maintenance of an updated master list, monitor agreed call frequency, thus ensuring efficiency of coverage;
      • Plan and execute coverage by means of a regularly updated call cycle, maintain cycle detailing;
      • Conduct periodic trade checks to ensure Code compliance.
    • Ensures that adherence to the provisions of WHO International Code of marketing breast milk substitutes including making sure that she/he has no direct contact with the mothers.

      The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum skills and competencies;
    • Degree in Human Health, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nutrition/Dietetics/ Biological Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University.
    • Minimum 2 years in similar role;
    • Strong professional detailing skills;
    • Ability to deal closely with contacts and build strong, sustainable relationships;
    • Knowledge of the Nutrition industry in the local market including products, competitor awareness, KOL’s;
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
