    Data Manager

    Job Summary / Responsibilities:

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Setting up and management of project data abases
    • Offer technical support in database management to meet data requirements for FHI 360 and other stake holders.
    • Assist in the compilation of quarterly, annual and adhoc program data and reports;
    • Provide technical assistance and oversee Management of Information Systems (MIS) in the project.
    • Coordination of collection of USAID’s/FHI 360 public health project activities data.
    • Ensure use of standardized tools and a functional system exist for purposes of collecting, analysis and synthesis of monitoring dat
    • Offering technical assistance in designing and implementation of data collection tools to the public health project implementation partners.

    Provide support in writing monthly, quarterly and national reports to the USAID and FHI 360Other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time

    REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES

    • Experience in setting up data bases
    • Experience in data analysis and presenting statistical reports
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines,
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Keen to maintain data security and data quality systems
    • Working knowledge of FHI 360 /USAID/PEPFAR data requirements
    • Good planning and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated team player
    • Tact and diplomacy in dealing with implementing partners and program staff,
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    Qualifications:

    Degree in biostatistics, public health, mathematics or a related field with at least 3-5 year’s experience orMS/MA in relevant field with 1-3 year’s experience in data management or Advanced Diploma statistics/data management or related areas with 5-7 year’s experience. Computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, including advanced skills in at least two of the following programs: SPSS, Excel, Epi Info, Stata, and Ms Access. Demonstrated experience with Health Management Information Systems. Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through informal and formal trainings.
