Procurement Officer Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving requisitions and specifications from users
• Preparation of tenders and acquiring of goods and services
• Commissioning of procured services, issuing of goods and retiring of boarded goods
• Participate in control of procurement/ supplies vote
• Issuing instructions to depots and other departmental units
• Disposal of unserviceable equipments on recommendation
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications for the Procurement Officer Job

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Supplies Chain management option) or its equivalent from a recognized institution in Kenya.
• Minimum 3 years working experience
• Must be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Computer applications.
• Must satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.
