Head of Strategic Partnerships at Google

Responsibilities

• Identify/evaluate opportunities. Develop insightful recommendations on strategic direction and specific project opportunities.
• Play an active role as an interface to our customers and stakeholders, especially with regards to group-level interactions and C-level relationships.
• Work collaboratively with Strategy and Regional Leads.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in wireless, or wireline communication either as a vendor, operator or consultant.
• Post-graduate level experience at a management consulting firm.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or graduate degree in a management, technical, or engineering field.
• Experience and understanding of specificities of emerging markets, especially Sub-Saharan-Africa.
• Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives; Proven track record of entrepreneurial activity in creating and scaling projects.
• Current on wireless/wireline telecommunications technology and industry/ public policy. Current knowledge of 3G/4G backhaul technologies and fiber optics networks.
• Ability to present to executives and to communicate with highly technical management.
