    Assistant Manager - Retail Shops

    EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT (REF) NO 1/ 2017

    1. Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Participate in the formulation and implementation of strategic and tactical sales plans of all retail products.

    2. Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and help maximize on revenue potential.

    3. Provide timely and reliable management information on corporate sales.

    4. Participate in the formulation, implementation and carrying out of initiatives that are targeted towards building the overall strength and performance of the products.

    5. Participate in establishing measurable standards of performance for the retail shop handlers.

    6. Participate in organizing sales conferences to introduce new products to the shop handlers.

    7. Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.

    8. Monitor compliance of service quality, company policies and procedures and address issues promptly to maximize customer satisfaction.

    9. Co-ordinate and manage the retail shop stocks and sales in liaison with the relevant officers and supervisors.

    10. Collate and analyze sales reports on monthly basis and recommend improvement strategies.

    11. Cascade and monitor sales and revenue targets and coordinate performance appraisal of the shop handlers.

    12. Participate in pricing of the retail products in liaison with the relevant departments and stakeholders.

    13. Perform any other contingent roles as assigned from time to time.

     

     

    Requirements for Appointment

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce or equivalent;

    2. Relevant Masters Degree or Professional Post-graduate Diploma;

    3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing a moderate to large retail shop.

    4. Proficiency in computer applications;
