Monitoring & Evaluation Graduate Intern at Plan International

This role will entail on job learning from key monitoring and evaluation activities, processes and engagements not limited to documentation, reporting, baseline and evaluation surveys, knowledge management, regular monitoring and evaluation processes, capacity building and mentorship of staff on monitoring and evaluation, scheduled M&E trainings as well as periodic workshops and learning forums that may come up from time to time.

Monitoring & Evaluation Graduate Internship Responsibilities

• Periodic project reporting
• Documentation and dissemination of information
• Data collection, entry, analysis and development of reports
• Selection and recruitment of consultants to undertake surveys and evaluations and formative researches
• Stages of baseline and evaluation execution and management of consultants
• Working with communities on monitoring and evaluation
• Build capacity on research with children and ethical principles on conducting studies
• Capacity building on public speaking and delivery on reports in workshops and forums
• Development of abstracts, best practices and case studies
• Working with various donors and templates for reporting
• Networking and coordination of roles by working with hub M&E coordinators and senior M&E coordinator
• Work ethics and key competencies of team work, honesty, integrity and leadership 1Working with peers and other departments and how that relates to monitoring and evaluation
• Use of software like SPSS, STATA, ODK, Kobocollect, Epidata etc. 1How to put into use acquired skills including future engagements with employers and placement in the job market

Qualifications for the Monitoring & Evaluation Graduate Internship

• Graduates from Kenyan universities/reputable colleges
• Must have completed studies in a relevant field of study within the last 24 months.
• Graduates who are below 25 years old and willing to commit their time on the program for the entire year
• Demonstrated good character, creativity, honesty, positive attitude and ability to learn
• Graduates who are currently not in employment
• Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Anthropology, Public Health, Social Work, Biostatistics preferred.
