Marketing Manager at Centum

1. Mission:

Two Rivers Mall, East Africa’s largest Lifestyle Center is home to over 180 retail stores; offering a great blend of local and international experiences. A world class destination integrating commercial, entertainment, lifestyle and hospitality facilities, Two Rivers is the first of its kind in the Sub-Saharan region.

The mission of the Marketing Manager is to develop and drive successful execution of the Marketing strategy for Two Rivers Mall; ensuring that all marketing initiatives have a tangible return outcome. The role holder shall be responsible for formulation and delivery of tactical marketing programs, activities and a calendar of events that will drive footfall, occupancy and the brand of the Center. The job holder shall be charged with optimally managing the demarcated marketing budget to achieve the set sales, occupancy and revenue targets.

The role holder will report to the Managing Director of Two Rivers Mall.

2. Expectations of the role:
3. a)  Within the first month, the role holder shall review and refine the current Marketing strategy for the mall, and develop a program of marketing initiatives that will drive the growth of footfall into the Mall;
4. b)  The role holder drive the successful execution of marketing initiatives that will lead to tangible return outcomes for the Mall within budget.
5. c)  Within the first month, the role holder shall develop a strategy to generate non GLA income that will ensure a constant stream of return to the mall in line with budget
6. d)  The role holder shall be responsible for growth of footfall and growth of the Two Rivers brand through effective social media management.
7. e)  The role holder will be responsible for engagement with tenants on the Malls marketing initiatives and will support the tenants in marketing their brands.
8. f)  The role holder shall oversee the management of other key stakeholders; media, service providers, suppliers, local agencies etc. 
9. Key competencies;
10. a)  Retail marketing experience and a track record of translating marketing initiatives into tangible return outcomes
11. b)  An innovative and creative individual with ability to think outside the norm to achieve exceptional outcomes
12. c)  Excellent understanding of the demographics and trends in the retail sector and ability to translate that into feasible marketing solutions.
13. d)  Proven experience in managing large data and translating the same to useful insights that drive marketing focus/initiatives
14. e)  Personable individual and excellent communicator who can build close and effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders
15. f)  An effective and ethical leader with proven ability to build, retain and lead successful teams
