Program Controller at Standard Group

This role is responsible for leading programming teams on the radio station, ensuring that they produce programming which meets the creative and commercial needs of the station. The role ensures continuity in programming and adherence to programming policy that appeals to the station’s target audience and results in increased listenership.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Oversee the work of the programming teams and work closely with the Head of Radio who has overall responsibility for the station, but whose focus is on sales and maximizing revenue.
• Recruit, train and develop their teams, and undertake day-to-day management of all staff in the programming departments, encouraging creativity and commercial awareness
• Work collaboratively across the organization and contribute to the development of multimedia content.
• Continually review and refresh programme output, and devise new programming to attract and retain audiences, and to contribute to the station’s success
