The National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is a State corporation established in 1985 through an Act of Parliament (Cap 338) as the Maize and Produce Board. It was formed by the amalgamation of The Maize and Produce Board and The Wheat Board on 1st July 1979 in order to streamline the management, handling and marketing of all grains.

Job Purpose/Role
The Jobholder oversees the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions; reporting of and reporting trends related to the NCPB’s critical success factors and benchmarks that allow NCPB to stay on its strategic course and undertaking planning and analysis that enables the organization to monitor its critical risks. S/he ensures application of sound accounting principles, systems and techniques for the organisation’s financial resources from the perspective of funds, NCPB’s assets, liabilities, revenue, expenditure and costs. The Jobholder also contributes to the executive management of NCPB.

The key results have an impact on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of NCPB including improved business results and client services. A well-run Finance function impacts on the organisation’s ability to acquire and allocate resources that meets the organisation’s financial requirements that are an essential element for the attainment of its corporate objectives
