The National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is a State corporation established in 1985 through an Act of Parliament (Cap 338) as the Maize and Produce Board. It was formed by the amalgamation of The Maize and Produce Board and The Wheat Board on 1st July 1979 in order to streamline the management, handling and marketing of all grains.

Job Purpose (Role)
The jobholder provides leadership for managing NCPB’s procurement function. S/he procures goods, services and works in line with the legal guidelines and approved procurement plan.

The key results have an impact on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of NCPB including improved business results and client services. A forward-looking Procurement function impacts on the Board’s ability to satisfy internal customers’ needs for products that facilitate performance of their respective functions.
