ERP System Analyst at Java House

Job description

JAVA House is currently sourcing for a high calibre, self-motivated and dynamic individual to fill the position of ERP Analyst based in Nairobi.
ERP Analyst will provide support in the development and maintenance of MS Dynamics NAV ERP for JAVA HOUSE. The ERP Analyst is also expected to ensure optimal use of the ERP modules, and will also perform other related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate systems/business processes, procedures and performance areas that need process improvements. Work closely with Vendors, ICT and Program staff and other stakeholders to identify automation needs and assist in defining ERP functional requirements.
• Analyse the entire ERP/Application system (application, Database and Operating System) performance to ensure optimal operational levels.
• Conduct business user requirements analysis and specification.
• Manage and support high performance, highly available and mission critical ERP system and other core applications systems for the organization.
• Provide User Support and train staff on the use of ERP systems Modules
• Identify and Evaluate necessary system performance and tuning tools for pro-active resolution of system problems.
• Explore new systems solutions to existing problems in liaison with subject matter experts and give recommendation.
• Undertake business application/ERP tests in controlled environment before introduction of new solutions in the production environment.
• Ensure standardization and documentation of Business systems, support techniques, and adherence to defined IT processes in order to ensure availability and reliability of systems and services.
• Work with the systems implementation team/ developers to ensure optimal Software/hardware sizing to application in order to guarantee service availability and enhance performance.
• Work with various Business Units (Finance/Commissary/Purchasing & Operations) to ensure that business requirements are addressed by Information system resources.
• Developing, maintaining and monitoring procedures for all systems pertaining to ERP & Core applications.
• Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/Systems availability and performance expectations.
• Conduct continued analysis of the ERP by running systematic tests at random intervals to confirm there are no bugs or security violations
• Control and monitor all system operations that affect business.
• Develop system reports & Act as a liaison between business and external developers on ERP related issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University
• Vast practical and proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamic Navision
• Ability to enhance and develop MS Dynamics NAV modules will be an added advantage
• Certification in MS Dynamics NAV
• Technical & functional knowledge in ERP
• Certified Public Accountant certification will be added advantage.
• IT Project Management and Business Process Analysis.
• Skills in Applications Development (JavaScript, Java, Python, CSS, PHP & JQuery)
• Microsoft development skills (VB.Net, C/SIDE application language & Microsoft Visual Studio Report)
• Skills in application Development-analysis, design, Programming, Testing and Deployment.
• Skills in Database management system (DBMS ) ( MySQL, PostgreSQL & SQL)
