    QA-QC - Training Coordinator

    TO BE BASED IN HOMA BAY

    Job Summary

    Reporting to the VMMC Technical Advisor, the QA/QC Coordinator ensures efficient management and coordination of the quality assurance, control and quality improvement of VMMC/EIMC activities in line with the WHO standards. Also responsible for coordination of VMMC trainings and mentorship in EGPAF supported sites in Homa Bay, Turkana and West Pokot Counties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Continuously implements and monitors program quality assurance and control activities to ensure compliance to the national system.
    • Develop, review and ensures compliance to the internal QA/QC tools and checklist.
    • In liaison with the TA, prepares and operationalizes surgical staff training needs assessment.
    • Plans and conducts relevant surgical trainings and mentorship to the MOH clinical staff according to the national and county training requirements.
    • Continuously verifies quality of all VMMC consumables and equipment and ensures timely servicing to maintain quality and effectiveness.
    • Work with the sub counties and central program staff to document and disseminate best practices and lesson learnt.
    • Evaluates sub county VMMC steering committee meetings, county QA meetings and quarterly VMMC sites supervisions.
    • Continuously evaluates the CME schedules and activities for the program at the sites.
    • Ensure guidelines and SOPs are available at the sites and monitors compliance by the surgical teams.
    • Prepares quarterly VMMC QA reports, work plans
    • Continuously develops and reviews system to eliminate adverse events.
    • Continuously verifies quality of all VMMC consumables and equipment and ensures timely servicing to maintain quality and effectiveness.
    • Represents the program in all VMMC QA meetings related to the program within the County and other areas of coverage
    • Any other duty assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications (Preferred)

    • Diploma/Degree in Clinical Medicine or Nursing.
    • Masters of Public Health is desirable.
    • VMMC Trainer of Trainees (TOT) in VMMC, EIMC, Devices
    • Trained and certified as a Service provider in all MC areas.
    • At least 5 years of experience in VMMC and at least 2 years in VMMC coordination, QA/Mentorship and trainings.
