Agricultural Inputs Cosultant at Kenya Markets Trust

The organisation is currently working in three sectors – agricultural inputs (including seed), livestock and water – and implements some work in these sectors internally and some through local partners (for more information on KMT see www.kenyamarkets.org).

KMT is in the process of developing a consultants’ database and is looking for seasoned and dynamic specialists. The organisation hereby invites individual consultants to submit expressions of interest in the following areas:

• Agricultural Inputs (including Seed)
• Livestock
• Water

Qualifications & Experience

• A Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• At least 10 years’ in-depth experience in the sector with a good understanding of current sector trends
• Good knowledge on the policy and regulatory framework governing the sector
• Demonstrate knowledge on private sector participation in sustainable development and sectoral growth
• Experience working with National and County governments
• Good influencing and negotiation skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience in market systems development and value chain systems will be an added advantage.
