    Artisan/ Plumber

    Job Description

    Reports to: Area Coordinator

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Repair leaks and bursts as well as unblock pipes
    • Installation of new water connections
    • Inspect new water connections
    • Service consumers and master meters
    • Service faulty meters and ensure they are reinstalled
    • Detect and report faulty meters, by-passes, illegal connections, leaks and bursts
    • Connection, disconnection, and reconnection of meters
    • Survey and patrol water pipeline and meter monitoring
    • Water rationing
    • Carry out timely meter testing and report the findings to the Area Coordinator

    Job Requirements:

    • Certificate in water engineering or artisan or plumber with Government Trade test III or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in water operations and maintenance
    • Driving Licence
    • Familiarity with customer service, billing, and revenue collection
    • Has demonstrated ability to meet agreed targets
    • Can work long or at odd hours
    • Physically fit
