Investment Manager at Leap29

Job Description

Our client have a strong background in renewable energy projects in developing markets and act as an investor, developer and deliverer of various renewable power assets. They have private equity funds focused on renewable energy projects such as hydropower, biomass and solar across Africa.

They are currently seeking an Investment Manager to join their growing business in Nairobi. You will be responsible for leading and closing transactions and sourcing prospective investments in line with company strategy.

Required experience

• 7+ years of experience working in corporate finance (M&A, transactions), investment banking or project finance
• Strong hands on experience and attitude
• Good exposure to closing deals
• Experienced in renewable energy/infrastructure projects, markets and technologies
• Relevant university degree (Master or Bachelor)
• Deal origination, raising debt
• People management
• Ability to work independently
• French language skill advantageous
