Assistant Director/Culture and Library Services at County Government of Bomet

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director/Gender, Culture and Social Services, he/she will be responsible for:

• Coordinating, identification, development and protection of museums, cultural sites, monuments and libraries
• Development and implementation of strategies and policies related to cultural development
• Promotion of county/national/international institutional partnerships for resource mobilization on cultural heritage preservation
• Establishment of cultural economic activities for revenue generation
• Establishment of a vibrant Creative Arts Industry
• Providing guidance and leadership to Cultural officers, librarians and Curators

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Cultural Studies, Literary Arts, Drama and Theatre, Library Studies or related discipline from a recognized institution
• Minimum five (5) years relevant experience
• Have ability to mobilize resources for cultural development and harness revenue generation from cultural economic activities
• Demonstrated professional and administrative ability required for efficient performance of duties at this level.
