    Assistant HR

    Reporting to Principal Human Resource Officer the successful candidate will work under the supervision of a senior officer and will assist in developing policies and strategies that will attractant retain employees, succession management and compensation and reward management

    Responsibilities

    • Verifying information relating to recruitment and performance appraisal;
    • Payroll and benefits administration;
    • Updating human resource records in an accurate and timely manner;
    • Drafting correspondences;
    • Processing, monitoring employee leave records and ensuring timely reports;
    • Staff recruitment, training, development and performance appraisal;
    • Liaising with the insurance, pension, medical providers; and
    • Coordinating health and safety programs, HIV/AIDS Prevention, gender, disability mainstreaming, Alcohol, Drug and Substance Abuse.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

    Or

    • A Bachelor’s degree in any other Social Science with a post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Good Planning skills; Communication and reporting skills; Interpersonal skills; Team player.

    Other Requirements

    Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide:

    • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
    • Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (-IELB);
    • Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
    • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
    • Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

    Terms of Employment

    The positions of Pricing Analyst, Electricity Officer (Meters & Metering) and Electricity Officer (Consumer Installations) will be filled on permanent and pensionable terms of service. The rest of the positions will be on contract terms of service.
