    Calibration Technician (Weights & Measures Certified)

    Job description

    Your Role

    As Calibration Technician, you will lead our efforts to accurately calibrate fuel dispensing meters to ensure our KOKOpoints (ethanol cooking fuel dispensers) will pass Weights and Measures inspection. You will also support inspection, testing, and maintenance of company equipment at agent retail locations and commercial fueling facilities.

    What You Will Do

    • Adjust KOKOpoint metering devices to ensure volume of fuel dispensed and volume indicated by the meter are within tolerances set by Kenya Department of Weights & Measures
    • Inspect and calibrate all equipment with help of electronic and pressure measurement tools and ensure accuracy
    • Maintain tools and equipment in line with established standards
    • Document calibration process and data and prepare progress reports
    • Approve products and accessories that meet tolerances and product specifications
    • Manage workload to achieve production schedules and ensure completion within target time frame
    • Develop calibration certificates as part of the quality assurance process
    • Ensure work areas are safe and well organized

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    • Certification from Kenya Department of Weights & Measures
    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Physics, Mathematics, Legal Metrology, Information Communication Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
    • Experience with dispensing volumes calibration of digital and mechanical flowmeters for petroleum and fuels sector
    • Proficiency with statistical reporting using Excel, Minitab, or software
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
    • Familiarity with customer satisfaction and field service techniques
    • Availability to rotate on call for after hour services
    • Ability to build a high level of trust with internal team and clients
