    KRA Head of Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA)

    Our client the Kenya Revenue Authority is the principal revenue collector for the Government of Kenya, with the primary goal to deliver Kenya to financial self-sufficiency through
    effective tax revenue mobilisation. It is in this pursuit that we seek result oriented, self driven individuals of high integrity to fill the position of Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA).

    Purpose of the job

    The Head of KESRA is the Chief Executive Officer responsible for providing overall strategic leadership to the institution

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Be responsible to the Commissioner General for the delivery of the institution’s mandate
    and strategic plan;
    • Lead the development and implementation of policies set out by the Board to ensure
    effective utilisation of resources;
    • Lead in the development of leadership programmes for the Authority;
    • Develop a centre of excellence offering professional programmes and consultancy services
    on Tax matters for the Authority and the region in general;
    • Develop a learning institution that delivers revenue for the Authority through the delivery
    of relevant programmes;
    • Foster a robust learning environment that promotes ethical and good.

    Candidate Profile

    The job holder should possess the following minimum qualifications:

    • Masters degree from a recognised university;
    • A PhD will be an added advantage;
    • Member of a relevant professional body;
    • Fifteen (15) years relevant experience in a learning/training institution or talent development environment ten (10) of which must be at senior management level;

    In addition, candidates should demonstrate the following Personal Traits and Competencies:

    • Proven experience in the management of talent development at high levels ;
    • Proven experience in the management of a large business/ financial portfolio;
    • Proven experience in the development and delivery of leadership programmes;
    • Proven appreciation of the dynamics in a talent development environment;
    • High ethical standards as well as personal and professional integrity;
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
