Purpose of the position

The Marketing & Communication Executive responsibilities include creative work, brand management, distributing promotional material, responding to customers’ queries and comments on social media and networking during marketing events.

Overall Responsibilities:

Key job tasks

• Create marketing and communication plans geared toward the targeted audience for each key product within portfolio, in line with strategy and targets and within budget.
• Assist in Developing and reviewing Marketing and Communications Strategy.
• Work with the Commercial Manager to develop new ideas for reaching end user markets using the latest in electronic technologies.
• Work with the contracted professional to develop and produce materials of visual impact and within the brand guidelines.
• Communicate to the Commercial team about new innovations and how they can be used to leverage marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders during product campaign.
• Organize and oversee advertising campaigns through social media, exhibitions, promotional events and main stream media.
• Copy writing of articles, marketing materials for product and segment centric messaging etc.
• Liaison with media and publishers as necessary to drive the Company’s communication agenda and ensuring that all content is appropriate.
• Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness competition assess viability of potential new products and to measure success of recent campaigns.
• Managing the Company’s digital assets – website + Social Media tools to enhance audience engagement.
• Create and implement marketing communications for magazines from pre-publication to post-publication.
• Where appropriate, attend key conferences to manage booth (iWayAfrica stand) do customer interviews and focus groups.
• Perform market research Generate leads for products and services.
• Driving and creating content of marketing materials which includes:
  1. Company Profile.
  2. Brochures.
  3. Case studies.
  4. Power Point Presentations.
  5. Videos and animations
  6. Press releases
  7. Blogs
  8. Newsletters
  9. Website, social media content.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant discipline, CIM Diploma is an added advantage.
• 3 years of Proven experience as a marketing executive or a similar role with track record in sales.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Marketing software (CRM).
• Excellent written and communication and people skills.
• Creativity and commercial awareness.
• Good understanding of market research techniques.
• Familiarity with social media and web analytics.
• Content creation and digital marketing skills.
• Experience in an agency dealing with below the line and above the line marketing concepts.
• Analytical skills and ability to work with numbers.
