    Public Relations Internship

    Job Description:

    The Public Relations  intern will assist in developing internal and external communications materials to support projects and the overall communications needs of AWF. The successful candidate will also assist in event planning activities for specific upcoming events. The position  will be based at AWF HQ for a period of 2-3 months.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and file conservation, environment and sustainable development stories related to AWF and other stakeholders
    • Collect photos and or videos taken during events and uploading them on box and widen for public use with correct tags and captions
    • Assist in coordinating media relations for selected events or activities
    • Assist the media team in logistics and planning of events
    • Draft news articles in the news section on the website
    • Complete departmental administrative duties
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication with a high GPA (3.3 and above)
    • At least one year working experience in a related field.
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Creative social media experience
    • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent writing, digital storytelling, problem solving and time management skills.
    • Aptitude in presentation and public speaking
    • High attention to detail
    • Demonstrated experience in successful event planning.
