Senior Analyst, Investment Research at WeeMedia

Responsibilities

• Map startups, venture capitalists, Angel investors and other ecosystem stakeholders in Africa. 
• Ideate the concepts and reasons for research articles & drive regular publishing on WeeTracker.com
• Convert data points and text heavy insights to infographics via the help of design team
• Engage/Collaborate/Meet with Corporates, VCs, Hubs & organisations supporting startups and innovation in Africa 
• Extract and analyse data from WeeTracker's data product; The Base to write clearly and concisely about complex and varying topic(s) around African startups
• Providing data and insight snippets for Marketing Team from the report created
• Collect data and information both through secondary and primary sources

Qualifications

• Writing experience a must - can be within the fields of market research, journalism, equity research, investment banking or consulting.
• 1+ years experience in a research analyst, or consulting role.
• Proficient in English - both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Adobe tools (Photoshop, Al) a value add.
• Collaborate cross functionally with the editorial team to bring the best of WT to our readers.
• Preferably holding bachelor's degree in journalism.
