    Technical Manager - WASH & Behaviour Change

    Salary: Local Terms and Conditions apply

    Contract: 18 month fixed term contract

    As the WASH and Behaviour Change (BC) Technical Manager you will be responsible for all programme implementation and monitoring and evaluation related to WASH and BC interventions in Kenya. You will ensure that information from M&E and other assessments are actively used by the Ministry of Health and partners to inform and adjust project implementation when necessary.

    The Technical Manager will provide coordination and technical assistance to the NTD Unit and liaise with WASH Stakeholders, be responsible for seeking and providing feedback on NTD control and/or elimination related to BC and WASH, and submission of all required BC and WASH programme deliverables to the National Program and Sightsavers host offices.

    You will give direct support of implementation and monitoring of programme specific BC interventions, including scheduling timelines and managing intervention process. You will collaborate with appropriate Ministries and WASH sector partners, promote adaption and adoption of preferred practices and the integration/collaboration of the WASH and NTD stakeholders in Kenya. The Technical Manager will assist the Ministry of Health and WASH sector in integrating data across sectors for use in coordination and programme planning.

    This role requires extensive field trips in all the health regions of the assigned country.

    As the successful candidate you will possess a first degree (or equivalent) in Public Health or other related field, have substantial related experience of working in public health/WASH and BC (ideally within an INGO), have hands on experience in statistical packages and have a background in database management systems.

    Fluency in English is essential for this position.
