GIS Specialist at Energio Verda

Job Description

We are looking for a GIS expert with experience in national electrification programs.

This role includes provision of GIS support, mapping and analysis services to EVA project managers, including spatial data creation, data management, spatial analysis, building and manipulating geodatabases, and other project outputs.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in engineering, science or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience post graduate degree;
• Highly experienced in national electrification rollout program planning in developing country contexts, setting up and using state of the art GIS-based rapid planning platform tools of spatial analysis to optimize priority sequencing of MV grid extensions, and LV reticulation and connections;
• Extensive knowledge and experience in renewable energy technology, off-grid electrification technologies, and delivery options of off-grid electrification (including mini-grids, individual residential or institutional systems);
• Proven knowledge and expertise in electricity demand projections, indicative least-cost economic analysis;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
