Access to Business and Technical Support Lead at Dream Achievers Youth Organization (DAYO)

Job Summary:

• The Access to Business and Technical Support Lead will provide strategic guidance and support to blue economy enterprises, particularly in business planning, sustainable practices, and market access.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer training and mentorship in business development, marine resource management, and sustainable practices.
• Establish connections between youth entrepreneurs and buyers or financial institutions.
• Oversee the implementation of technical support projects related to the blue economy.
• Ensure compliance with environmental sustainability standards in business practices.
• Monitor and report on the progress of business support initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and technical support.
• Knowledge of blue economy value chains such as fisheries, aquaculture, and marine conservation.

Working Conditions

• The position periodically requires the job holder to sometimes work long and odd hours when necessary to meet deadlines or respond to specific situations.
• The job is conducted in an office environment with regular field visits to affiliate organizations and target communities.
• The work presents limited exposure to job related hazards. Regular travels in sometimes difficult circumstances may be necessary.
