Accountant at Africa Talent Contours Limited

Our client in the manufacturing industry with offices in Meru, Kitengela and Kerugoya is looking for an accountant. 

The accountant will lead the financial planning, management, and control functions of the business. The role ensures accurate reporting, effective budgeting, sound cash flow management, and full compliance with statutory and internal policies. It demands a proactive finance professional who supports business growth through strategic financial insights while maintaining strong internal controls and financial discipline.

The accountant will also build strong relationships with regulatory bodies and financial institutions to drive the organization’s financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning 

• Drive strategic financial planning, leading annual budgeting and dynamic forecasting.
• Shape business decisions through insightful financial analysis and scenario modelling. 
• Develop robust short- and long-term financial strategies to fuel growth. 

Financial Management & Reporting 

• Ensure impeccable financial reporting with timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. 
• Lead audit readiness and coordination for internal and external reviews. 

Cash Flow & Treasury Management 

• Optimize liquidity through proactive daily cash flow monitoring and forecasting. 
• Champion effective receivables and payables management, including credit control. 

Financial Controls & Compliance 

• Instill robust financial controls by implementing and enforcing policies. 
• Ensure unwavering compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements (KRA, IRA, NSSF, SHA etc.). 
• Proactively manage financial risk through identification, mitigation, and insurance oversight. 

Finance Digitization, Systems & Tools 

• Champion technological advancement, leveraging ERP and other financial systems for peak efficiency and strategic insight. 
• Spearhead automation and continuous improvement initiatives to transform financial operations. 
• Drive advanced financial modelling and data analysis, prioritizing accuracy and security. 
• Translate complex data into clear financial insights for stakeholders, fostering technology adoption. 

Role specification

• Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPAK) finalist or ACCA
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accounting shall be added advantage 
• 2-3 Year experience in accounting practice
• Excellent IT skills particularly in excel, windows and accounting applications.   
• Team player
• Little or no supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Highest level of integrity.
