Duties

• Posting petty cash vouchers and filing them.
• Recording customer payments and posting them to the system.
• Suppliers; posting supplier invoices and filing posted invoices;
• Responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations,
• Calculating withholding vat and withholding taxes.
• Filing KRA Returns for employees.
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality in relation to sensitive and confidential financial information.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• International tax knowledge is compulsory
• Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices 
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software
• Qualifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA, or CIMA) are required.
