Accountant at Northwave Credit Ltd

JOB SUMMARY

This is a great opportunity to take ownership and grow with Northwave Credit a non-deposit taking lender in Kenya.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in managing revenue and costs by supporting the business in financial planning and forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budget preparation and allocation
• Cash Management and Bank Reconciliations
• Financial and Management Reporting (TB, P& L, BS) (weekly & monthly)
• Investors Management
• Management of sales agent Commission
• Verifying of Loan files before disbursement via online banking or any other mode.
• Audit
• Daily payment postings
• Handling of Vendors/suppliers invoices
• Post dated Cheque handling
• Incharge of portfolio management and collection follow ups
• Petty cash reports Carrying out any other related tasks as might be required from time to time

DESIRED COMPETENCIES

• Must hold a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance or accounting) or a related business course.
• Must be a CPA II.
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a busy Micro finance environment.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of tax regulations applicable in Kenya
• Strong analytical skills including excel, with an appreciation of financial management.
• Must have strong time planning and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be a strong strategic thinker with self-determination.
• Must be a highly motivated and ambitious individual with unquestionable integrity.
