Accounting Clerk - Weighbridge Operations at Unga Holding

Role Purpose:

This position will be responsible for performing duties related to weighing and keeping record of all truck transactions relating to sales of finished Goods and used bags on need basis, receipt of raw materials, collection of wastes and garbage within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory control & Weighbridge operations

• Preparation and submission of daily weighbridge report while accounting for all tickets generated in e-weigh.
• Verify all documents for consignments to establish genuine documents before weighing
• Ensure 100% postings are done through e-weigh to SAP and seek approvals for all manual weighing from Plant manager.
• Register all vehicles for finished goods orders & raw material delivery and inform the QA for timely sampling.
• Ensure 100% compliance to the internal controls in regard to all weighbridge operations.
• Maintains and monitors offloading of all raw materials at intakes to be free from abnormalities.
• Ensure 100% labour utilization within intakes through effective management of the outsourced staff & RM trucks queues.
• Documentation of all delivery notes, waybills, inspection reports, receipt summaries, and physical inventory worksheets in a proper way.
• Ensure timely weighing of trucks to support on offloading efficiencies.
• Ensure timely opening and closing of the weighbridge operations.

Raw material offloading Process

• Ensure 100% sampling of all raw materials at entry
• Ensure 95% utilization of the intakes during receipts to avoid man-hour losses.
• Managing and organizing coordination between the stock control team, security team and the drivers to ensure proper flow of work during offloading of raw materials and loading of finished products.
• Report any discrepancies between the invoice/delivery note and the physical tally sheets to the Plant Accountant.
• Notifies the Plant Accountant on any huge variations noted at the weighbridge before taking second weights.
• Manage offloading of all raw materials at the intakes within set timelines

Safety Health and Environment (SHE) & Food Safety

• Actively Participate in 6K, CI, SHE, FSMS/ GMP/ PaTaMu, activities
• Identify and report all quality and food safety issues during daily operations
• Conduct 6K, CI, SHE, FSMS/GMP /PaTaMu trainings to outsourced/drivers staff within the department
• Any other assigned duties.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor/Diploma in Business related field.
• CPA Level 2/ Intermediate Level will be an added advantage.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a related field
• Computer proficiency especially with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with an ERP is an added advantage
