Applied Science Technician at Konoin Technical Training Institute.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support during laboratory practicals and experiments.
• Prepare, issue and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals and materials.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards in laboratories.
• Maintain inventory and accurate records of laboratory equipment and consumables.
• Implement routine maintenance and report faulty laboratory equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of practical examinations, demonstrations and student projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Applied Sciences or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum KCSE Mean Grade: C- (minus).
• At least three (3) years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Registration with the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology Kenya (ISLT) or any other relevant professional body
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge ofthe Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
• Demonstrated ability to maintain equipment and observe safety standards.
