    Assistant Community Health Officer III

    Duties and Responsibilities

    An officer at this level will provide Community Health Services where the specific duties and responsibilities will include:

    1. Collecting health related data at household level for analysis.
    2. Maintaining and updating community health unit registers and keeping records
    3. Identifying common ailment and minor injuries at community level
    4. Identifying and referring health cases to appropriate health facilities
    5. Visit homes to determine the health situation and dialogue with household member
    6. Identifying and sensitizing communities on health interventions
    7. Monitoring growth of children under the age of five years
    8. Identifying defaulters on health interventions and referring them to the appropriate health facilities
    9. Managing community health resource centres and convening and coordinating monthly community meeting and action days

    Requirements to this grade:-

    1. KCSE Mean Grade C-, D+ in English or Kiswahili, D+ in Biology/Biological Sciences, D (plain) in any of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences
    2. Must have a diploma in Community Health/Social Work and Development/ Social Work and Community Development from a recognized institution.
    3. Must have a minimum (1) years’ experience in the field
    4. Excellent proficiency in use of Computer, reporting and record keeping.

    1. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the Migori County Public Service Board located at Nyamome along Namba – Masara road adjacent to Nyamome SDA church.
    2. All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO Migori County Public Service Board on or before Thursday 31st March, 2022 at 5:00pm.
    3. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
    4. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:
    • Tax compliance certificate from KRA
    • Clearance certificate from HELB
    • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
    • Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
