Assistant Deputy Director- Land Valuation at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK)

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

• served for a minimum period of three (3) years at the grade of Principal Valuer, CSG 8;
• a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Economics, Real Estate and Property Studies or its equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
• Membership to the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Valuation and Estate Management Surveyors Chapter;
• been Registered by the Valuers Registration Board; and
• shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include: -

• enforcing relevant provisions of various statutes relating to valuation;
• developing and reviewing the National Land Value Index;
• undertaking Stamp Duty valuations;
• preparing valuation rolls; undertaking valuation of assets for Ministries,
• Departments, Agencies and Counties;
• undertaking investigations on valuation disputes and appeals;
• attending courts and land tribunals on valuation matters;
• undertaking research on emerging value trends and issues;
• representing the public sector Valuers in the Valuers and Estate Agents Registration Boards; and guiding and counselling staff.
