    Migori County is a county in the former Nyanza Province of southwestern Kenya. It is located in western Kenya and borders Homa Bay County, Kisii County, Narok, Tanzania and Lake Victoria to the West. The county also borders Uganda via Migingo Island in Lake Victoria.

    Assistant Fisheries Officer III (3 Positions)

    REF/MCPSB/404/2022

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Promote fish farming at the ward level
    • Carry out aquaculture extension services
    • Promote fish safety, and good handling practices in the farms , markets and landing sites
    • Enforcement of fisheries legislation in the wards
    • Compile fisheries monthly reports
    • Assist in implementation of directorate’s projects and programmes.

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Must be a Kenyan Citizen
    • A diploma in Fisheries or related field from a recognized institution
    • A certificate of computer application from a recognized institution

    Method of Application

    • All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO Migori County Public Service Board on or before Tuesday 18th July 2022 at 5:00pm.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates, and testimonials.
    • For successful candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearance:
    • Tax compliance certificate from KRA
    • Clearance certificate from HELB
    • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
    • Certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department
